Partnership Disputes

The firm is frequently engaged by other professionals to advise on the rights and obligations flowing between partners in law and accounting firms upon departure. While these cases typically involve interpretation of written Partnership Agreements, the situations are rendered more complex by reason of circumstances unforeseen by or beyond the “four corners” of such Agreements. In two recent cases, partners of a national law firm retained McCloskey Law to advise on their rights and obligations in circumstances suggesting that the law firm partnership had treated them unfairly, unduly ignored their legitimate rights and interests.
